farm cooking school gardenWe hope you enjoyed your July 4th weekend! There’s plenty to do, see and eat this week in Hunterdon, including a few week long noteworthy events. Continue reading for all the details!

After all the fireworks, it’s understandable if your kids are looking a bit bored this week. Why not send them off to international culinary camp for Kid Cooking Week at the Farm Cooking School? Held every day this week from 2 pm to 5 pm, classes include knife skills and world cuisines, including dishes from Mexico, Italy, France, and the USA. Kids will also get to spend an hour on the farm.

For an adult evening, head over to the Stockton Inn. By popular demand, the Guest Chef Salmon Tasting Menu, featuring Chef Max Hansen’s specialty dishes, has been extended through Sunday, July 12. The 5-course dinner is $54 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Dog and Deer Tavern 500

On Wednesday night, the Free Will Brewing Co. (Perkasie, PA) will take over the taps at the Stockton Inn’s Dog & Deer Tavern. Try one of their pints or a flight of any three. Also, you can meet the new bartender, Brent.

On the Radar:

  • The Fifth Annual Sunset Lobster Bake – Unionville Vineyards, 9 Rocktown Road, Ringoes [Aug. 1, 6 pm].

With a buffet dinner provided by the Tigers Tale Bar & Grill, this event has sold out in the past. Tickets, which are $88 per person and all inclusive of dinner, a selection of UV wines, Sunset Sangria, UV logo wine glass, music, tax & gratuity, must be purchased in advance by July 25. Visit the website for more information:  http://unionvillevineyards.com/pages/upcoming-events.
